When it comes to Internet marketing there are so many different strategies to “making money online” or “getting tons loads of traffic” to your website and other major decisions which we have to make each and everyday which we know will take our business to the next level.

If that wasn’t enough to already think about now to add to that the amount of different software on the Market for Internet marketing has become massive.

For example you may well know I create membership sites, and the different pieces of software I have used this year alone just configuring how to secure my content is insane!

Not only that I know for a fact when marketers are starting online, they want to find the “perfect” hosting company and the “perfect” autoresponder company, and the truth is they just don’t exist! Everyone has their preferences and opinions and one person’s recommendation maybe different to the next persons.

I am always looking to find something new and better but now I have just thought to myself why am I actually doing this? What is the point if I already have something proven, or something simple that does the same job that I need why should I change to something different?

Doing this is actually costing me so much time in testing etc, which is stopping me from actually putting time into more useful use on for example the content needed for the membership site or creating email copy to send out and so on.

So I came to the conclusion that if it works why fix it? There is no need to worry about making it all hi-Tec just make sure it is working is the most important thing to worry about! There is plenty of time later on when you making good money to then go more advanced and hire tech wizards to install top pieces of software within your business and add aspects to make it more advanced but until then why waste time searching and reading all the reviews on the latest piece of software or script!

So if you are someone who is wasting time and money trying to find the perfect solution whether its for your auto-responder, membership site, website etc, trust me and believe me when I say it is just better to get something done than to waste more time messing around.

This may be a short blog post but at the same time the message is short but powerful

Before I get into the post it is really useful to see what is going on within your niche and marketplace via forums and blogs and it can help you so much with what you marketing endeavors.

So I came across this post thanks to Kris Mainieri posting the link via Facebook. Even though the post is speaking about why others unsubscribe you want to take this on board so you can take it into your business.

So what you need to be doing is looking how many people are unsubscribing from your list each and every week. It is all good building a massive list but if people are unsubscribing then you are really starting the relationship from scratch with new subscribers all the time and you are actually not building a long-term relationship with your current subscribers.

So your main aim when it comes to listbuilding is keeping your current subscribers for as long as possible because the longer they stay subscribed, the more they learn from you which equals the more they start to respect you and the more chance of them buying from you in the future.

It is all about following trends within Internet Marketing and this is no difference you need to keep an eye on which emails are working for you i.e. whether its Open rates, CTR or unsubscribed and take note of this as if you realise you send out an email with the subject line – Payment Received: and your unsubscribe rate is through the roof! Do you think you will send out an email in the future with a similar headline? (Some how I don’t think so…)

Some of the main reasons I have found out for people hitting the unsubscribe button are as followed:

Not recognizing getting an email from you

Haven’t found value in a while

Pointless

Constant sales pitches

Misleading headline

So it comes back to the case of basically just “been yourself” and separate yourself from everyone else, don’t get me wrong not everyone is going to like you and stay subscribed that is just fact but for example if you are on Frank Kerns list you know in his email he promotes but the way he goes about it is so cool that you don’t mind it! So separate yourself from the crowd, see what others are doing and basically learn from their mistakes and I GUARANTEE your subscribers will love you for it!

Here is a great tip which can help your unsubscribe rate. What you can do is at the bottom of each email for example if you are in the golfing niche what you could easily add is:

You are receiving this email because

You signed up at www.golfingnewstips.com

So by doing this at least if your subscribers open and read your email they know exactly why they are receiving the email even if they have not heard from you in a while and they are then less likely to hit unsubscribe I have learned in the past.

This is a short post but at the same time very useful so I hope you can take it all onboard and put it into practice.

I thought it was only right for me to create this blog post to let you know what is actually going on in my business right now! Well as of right now I am looking to expand even further into different ventures within Internet Marketing and as you are either a customer of mine or a loyal subscriber I think that it is only right for me to keep you upto date!

Well the main thing is that we are growing, I have two products which I will be releasing before the end of the year so you should really like that! If you’ve been a part of any of my training, or webinars so far then this is gonna be even suppppperrrr betta! (If that is a phrase!)

Another thing, in the next few days I am launching a new blog! Do not worry this one isn’t going anywhere, but what I am creating is a blog which will soley be to point you in the right directions, of tools and products online, as there are so many! I want you to become as successful as possible and with this in mind I do not want you going broke before actually making any money! So I will only be recommending resources which I personally use in my business! And tell you exactly how they can help you also!

Also a few people have been asking me whether I will be doing any group training’s and it has crossed my mind! I am not sure when yet, but I fell it would be great to meet you guy’s and basically teach you face to face, in a room what is working in my business now, so watch this space for that!

I do promise to put together some more videos and webinars for you guy’s but as you know there is only 24 hours in a day I had kinda left this blog for a while which was poor of me, and now I have 2! :O

Last but not least, if you are a subscriber to Conquer Internet Marketing, I have not killed the magazine guys! At the time when it was started it was a great idea, but as the year has gone on it has been hard to juggle the magazine along with everything else. The magazine will be “hibernating” for a few months, until after my product releases which I will let you know the dates for nearer the time!

Yes I haven’t gone completely crazy! (Yet) and I am speaking about Internet Marketing, not a problem that you’re going to have to go see your doctor about so don’t sweat!

What I am actually speaking about is a great problem you should have within Internet Marketing and that is Focus On One Thing. Pretty neat right? But it is so true! It mainly is something that newbie’s have the problem with coping with but still occurs sometimes with us experienced marketers.

For a totally newbie to Internet marketing, the Internet is a whole new world, and there are so many different roads to take to start making money online! But we are only human and we can only fully focus on one thing at a time! So with IM the list is endless on how you can make money online, whether its product creation, affiliate marketing, continuity programs, CPA etc, the list goes on and people don’t believe me when I tell them you can actually make money online!

Then to top that off there are many ways to also get traffic (Because with out traffic we have nothing!) i.e. video marketing PPC, Social Marketing, Facebook Ads and again the list goes on and on.

So the thing is what exactly do you choose and how?

What I say is you find someone who is actually making money online, now you do not need to know them personally or hire them as a mentor etc but actually follow them and see what they are doing. So if this were me, I would pick a guru within Internet Marketing who I really respect and see exactly what they are doing!

So how would you would start.

As you can imagine everyone has to start somewhere that is the truth and the guru’s I the game now are no different! Also what you have to take into consideration what a marketer was doing maybe 10 years does not always apply to now, for example a few years ago Google AdWords would have been most marketers portal to riches online but not today because of the Google slap blah blah (You know the rest)

But with the power of Google, what I would do is type in the Guru who:

1. I respect within internet Marketing
2. I know they make serious money online

Have you ever heard the saying if you hang around with the rich you become wealthy or if you hang around with the poor you become poor… The saying actually is true its all to do with mindset etc, but we will come to that another day. So am guessing what you want is to be rich right? Who doesn’t! So what we would do is go over to our trusty friend Google and get our thinking caps on…

So what I would so is I would want to type in a Guru who fits the criteria (Which is not hard to find guys,) so for example I would type in Ryan Deiss as I have learnt a lot from him personally, obviously choose whoever you think is suitable for you.

So I would go to Google and what do you know all these pages. So what I would do is I would list down what I see Ryan doing so for example (Do this now if you want) on Google I see Total Access club which I know Is a membership site, I see an opt in page called social media matrix and so on.

So I would go through a few pages of Google and see not what I can copy but what I can use in my business, so maybe already am thinking, I need to have a membership site within IM or I need to have multiple squeeze pages etc, as I can see Ryan doing this and the truth is, if it was not working for him he would still not have them up on Google its that simple and so on.

So now already you have a focus, you also have a role model within Internet Marketing which I believe is the most important thing of all. So now you have done this you would then decide, what is X Guru doing to make the most money, fro example sake again, what I would do is opt in to the guru’s list and monitor what they send me, whether its products to buy etc, and go into detail at looking at the prices why they are recommending them etc

So I have now figured out that the best way to start would be by creating a membership site, then creating my own products, then going into building my list and selling affiliate products to that list.

So now you have a focus you know exactly what you want to do, and what I say is do not worry about what all the other guru’s are releasing etc, only focus on buying or learning from that one person, obviously in some cases you won’t be able to pay the price that they are offering on their products but the saying I use is “Watch what they do, not what they sell” you will learn a lot more from just watching how they sell etc in most cases, than actually what you will get from buying their product!

So go find you guru, start stalking them and then you will start to develop the all-important F.O.O.T Problem

This was written on the plane back from my last vacation! (So I hope my iPhone picks up all my bad spelling!

The idea for this came just as I was in the lounge at the airport waiting for the plane (as you do) before my holiday I had turned off all access to my emails but as I was waiting to depart and the holiday was drawing to an end so I thought it would be a great idea to just check a few emails to see what was going on within the IM world and to check on any sales I had made within the last 10 days!

What a mistake this was! My inbox was absolutley cluttered with so many emails! I downloaded 200 emails in total. When I started to read some of the emails I started to see a pattern developing! You may already know by now that a top IM guru by the name of Jeff Walker had just released his new training “Product Launch 3.0.” Like I said I had downloaded 200 emails on my iPhone and guess how many of that 200 were promoting PLF formula?
42! Now that is a lot of emails! The thing is also Jeff Walker does not let any Tom Dick or Harry promote his products, only his “circle” of IM buddies (which I will come to shortly)

That is right to be successful within Internet marketing you actually do need to have your own “Crew” as they are the people who are going to make you serious money in the long run. You think of it like this, if you have your own crew, and you create a top product, all you need to do is ring up everyone in your crew and get them to support you and send your product out to their list. This as you can imagine is a lot easier than having to find affiliates who may not even email or promote for you.

So your crew is like your family and you want to help each other more than ever and here are some other reasons why they are going to make you money is down to these facts.

• JV – Like I explained above
• Adswaps – If you have a list, this is the most effective way to grow your list
• General Help & Ideas

This is why I think it is very important to find the right people who are going to help you not just once, but month after month, and year after year, and obviously you will repay them also. So once you work with someone you don’t want to then just go and forget them because as you know IM is a business not just a quick money scheme.

So what I suggest now is that you go and create your crew! You know yourself the power of having a team in Internet Marketing is so go and do it now It is a lot easier than you think also, if you are currently doing adswaps, then keep in touch for the future, or if you want to find people who you can team up with, search for forums and blogs within your niche and I am sure people will be more than happy to be in touch and want to work alongside you!

Last week I posted a video to my blog called “Get the guy to do it” which if you haven’t watch take a look. Below this blog post…

The whole point of me posting that video (away from the humor) was to show that you do not want to waste your time on activities that you don’t actually need to do yourself. These are what are called “small tasks.”

In this day and age it is easier to find someone else to do a small job so you can focus your time and effort on the areas that are going to improve your business and involve your personal skills.

For example if you know you are not the best at creating websites, and don’t want to deal with the hassle of writing articles each and everyday then what you have to do is get someone else to do it which is called “outsourcing.”

Now outsourcing is nothing new but I feel that more people are coming to terms with it more now, as it is more beneficial to us marketers. Believe me when I say if you are not outsourcing now you are losing out on a lot of money as your time can be spent doing activities which are going to produce results whilst in the background you have others doing the small tasks which don’t get me wrong are still important but you do not actually have to do.

You think to yourself outsourcing is going to cost you, but what you should be thinking is outsourcing is actually going to save me money. You know why this is?

TIME = MONEY

Your time is so important and you do actually have to value it. Nothing is free, there is no such thing as “FREE TRAFFIC” or FREE METHODS TO MAKE MONEY, and that is down to the fact that these so called freebies take a lot of time to produce results. You think if you are writing 10 articles a week how long it takes you to do, or back-linking back to your website how much actual time this takes to achieve and then on top of that to then see results?

Which is why you have to think to yourself, if this is costing me time then surely I am wasting time as I am actually not making money? It starting to make sense?

I would rather pay to get traffic from PPC or Facebook & Banner Ads, than do SEO, and article marketing any day of the week because I know I am going to see results happen now! Not in a week or month but right now. And as we are in a game which is all about results don’t you think we need to be seeing results from what we have put all our efforts into? As you can imagine PPC etc can be very expensive but paying someone to do the SEO and Article Marketing doesn’t have to be…

You can find people to write you a decent article in this day and age from anything from $2-$7 I even paid someone $3 the other day because my WP login would not work and for him to figure it out for me, all down to the fact that it is a job that I don’t need to do because I can get someone else to do it for me.

The main places you can find people to outsource work to are:

• Odesk.com
• Rentacoder.com (coding, scripts, software)
• Warrior Forum

So believe me now I am outsourcing and so is the rest of your competition so if you are not then you need to jump on board and you will see the difference it makes to you and your business.

Believe me when I say if you need something doing it is easier to get someone with the skills to do rather than wasting your valuable time trying to learn it and then do it.

For example creating WordPress themes, writing articles etc…
